Sharing the Word

But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth. - Acts 1:8

The verse above was all about Jesus telling the disciples to preach the gospel to all the world. And being a disciple doesn't mean that you have to be a pastor, prophet, teacher etc. Being a disciple simply means that you are a follower and a believer of Christ. Once you are, you can now share the gospel. :)

Pastor Rick Warren, author of The Purpose Driven Life says that your life message has four parts:

              - Your testimony,

              - Your life lessons,

              - Your godly passions and

              - The Good News

Your testimony is all about how you began a relationship with Christ. This involves all the experiences you had before when you only knew Jesus Christ by His name but never in your experiences and eventually surrendered your life to Him and accepted Him as your Lord and Savior.

Your life lessons include all the experiences that God has taught you.

Your godly passions are the topics that God will give you to talk about passionately in order to make a difference.

The Good News is all about trusting God's grace and believing in Him through His Son, Jesus Christ to die on the cross so that sins may be forgiven and we are promised a future home in heaven.

I will talk about all of these topics in separate posts based on my experiences in how God has changed my life through out.
